{Two Things Tuesday Vol. #3}
Ever wonder why you’re always tired? I’m lookin’ at you moms. It’s the first week of school WAKE UP!
I won’t be sharing all mom stuff all the time here, but in the spirit of the season I’m giving a shout out to all the moms who are getting our shit together as the school year starts. All the moms who feel guilty, like we’re always in the wrong place or doing the wrong thing.
It’s okay, you’ve got this, mamas. Let’s stick it out together and embrace this season that includes school busses. Maybe it’s just me, but man am I tired of driving after this summer and I’m super #grateful for the big yellow bus.
I shared this on Facebook page recently and it seems to have hit home with many moms. Here’s your reminder that we aren’t all operating at 100% all the time. We don’t have it all figured out. Our kids will be okay.
Enjoy today’s TWO FOR TUESDAY. If you’ve been reading something you think I’d love and should share here, please let me know!
Maybe This is Why You’re Always Tired.
1. There Is A Reason Moms Are Always Tired, Even After A Full Night’s Sleep. This one is probably true for anyone who feels overwhelmed, not just mom’s. However, shit definitely gets real when you’re in charge of planning everything for your little humans. I also run a business and work with mostly men so my brain might actually give off smoke once in awhile. This article was spot on.
2. This stage of life, it’s hard. Oh, back to those “seasons” again… I know. Don’t worry, the author gets it. She knows that while, sure, mommin’ is hard, it’s so very beautiful. She gives some great tips about how to make sure you can survive, thrive and even have a blast!
Decision fatigue is real, man. I usually have trouble deciding where I want to go when we have the chance to go out to dinner. I actually think it’s just because, between our business and my children, I’m just so damn tired of making decisions.
Now…go decide what’s for dinner. 😉 See ya next week!
XO
Amanda
P.S. It can feel overwhelming to put yourself first when you’re tired and overwhelmed with everything else. It’s a vicious cycle. Stress and overwhelm often lead you to put your own health and fitness on the back burner. Then you get even more stressed and overwhelmed because you don’t know how to get back in a groove so you feel better.
If you’re ready to break the cycle, I’d love to work with you. My next 6-week nutrition coaching group begins on September 11 and you better believe we talk about ways to make it easier to choose {mostly} healthy foods and stay more consistent with your workout even when you’re overwhelmed.
P.P.S. Share this with some of your friends who need to hear they aren’t alone!
