What’s your ‘thing’ right now that you can’t seem to shake? For some of us right now the ‘thing’ is our family, some it’s our relationship (or lack of a relationship/desire to be in one), some it’s our work, some it’s our financial stress, some it’s our friendships, some it’s our addiction and some it’s our weight or fitness level. Or maybe I missed yours, but these are the usual suspects I hear about from my friends!
What’s your ‘thing’ lately and what can you do to either get over it and move on or fix it? As I have said before, if you keep doing the same thing or complaining over and over again…that is just insane. You have a choice. You can continue to complain or you can make a change. Yah…there will be more ‘things’ in the future, but life is too short to let something get you down for long and this is especially true if it’s affecting other areas of your life!
If you need help with your ‘thing’ don’t be afraid to ask. Your friends want to help you. Your family wants to help you. And if you’re a Christian you already know that God wants to help you, although it’s not always so easy to see. Reach out and ask for help!
This weekend take some time to think about what ‘thing’ in your life needs work. You may have more than one, but let’s start small and conquer one. Think of ways that you can make changes and come up with a plan on how to make yourself happier. Be the best that you can be. Happiness and positivity are contagious. Let’s all set at least one goal this weekend that will help us complain less and be happier.
Maybe soon when someone asks how you’re doing you won’t complain…you’ll tell them how great you’re ‘thing’ is going now and how much progress you have made in your career, your fitness level or your marriage. Hard work pays off people.
