Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! Connor did. 🙂
We had a really nice weekend with our family. It made me so happy to be able to spend lots of extra time with these lovely guys.
The morning after Thanksgiving, Mike and I did the following workout. He named it The Turkey Burner for obvious reasons.
- 20 Kettlebell Swings (2-handed)
- 5 Pushups (me)/10 Pushups (him)
- 2 Chinups (me)/5 Pullups (him)
- 20 One-arm Kettlebell Swings (10R/10L)
- Rest 90 seconds
…Repeat 10 times!
I used a 16K kettlebell for everything and Mike used a 24K kettlebell. It felt really easy the first few rounds, but by the end I was beat! It was a pretty lengthy workout.
The following morning I took my parents and my sister through a family boot camp type of workout. It was fun!
Just because Thanksgiving is over that doesn’t mean it’s too late for you to try The Turkey Burner. I bet most of you are still feeling like you have some turkey to burn off.
Did you get to enjoy time with your family this weekend?
Did you squeeze in a few workouts too?

Turkey Burner – very funny! Sounds like a great workout. I’ve been so focused on cardio, I forget to do other stuff! I’ll make some time to give your workout a try!
Amanda Perry says
Definitely mix it up. You’ll see much better results when you add in some strength training. 🙂
