I am not going to lie. I’m pretty worn out. As in when I hit the pillow at night it takes me about .2 seconds to fall asleep. And that is at 9pm…I can barely keep my eyes open any later than that.
All exhaustion aside, things are going well. CJ is at a really fun age, crawling everywhere and talking up a storm. He makes my heart grow bigger on a daily basis. I love picking him up at daycare because as soon as I step in the door he crawls right over to me no matter what he’s doing.
After a very busy weekend, our gym is set up and open for personal training, partner training and small group training. It looks AWESOME.
Our group classes are starting on April 2! For anyone in the area, we are offering a friends and family deal…free group training for 2 weeks in April!
Three weeks from today I go to RKC! I did my snatch test practice yesterday and finished 100 snatches with the 16K kettlebell in 4:30. I was exhausted, but nothing like a 5 minute butt-kicker to start your day. ๐
Three things to think about this Thursday…
- Most people spend $150-$200+ on their cable bill, but claim they can’t afford a gym membership or personal training.
- Isn’t it strange how kids fight naps so often when adults would kill for just a 30 minute nap?
- March has been weird. Snowsuit to shorts in just a few weeks. Go figure.
What have you been thinking about lately?

Your gym looks so great! Congrats!! Super excited for you! I wish I lived closer ๐ I am with you on the napping and sleeping situation. I literally fell asleep while reading a bedtime story to my son tonight – in the middle of a sentence. He nudged me and looked like me like, “Dude, what’s your problem?” Oops.

I wish you lived closer too! That’s hilarious about falling asleep. I have almost fallen asleep giving my son his last bottle a few times. It’s just so relaxing and I’m so tired by that point in the day! ๐

Although I feel like the whole “sleep while you can” advice is a bit of a broken record, I am taking it to heart as I read about the amazing achievements of new Moms! I am definitely thinking about how amazing and powerful sleep is lately. I am so lucky (knock on wood) that I am still sleeping well as I round the corner to being full term, and I think that is part of the reason why I still yearn for great workouts, full days and a rich life. Seriously – sleep is powerful stuff!
Your gym looks great – love the exposed brick wall!

It really is a broken record, but something you’ll surely be missing once you have a little one to take care of. ๐ Glad to hear you’re still sleeping well…I slept great during pregnancy too and definitely agree that it gives you more energy/desire to keep up with working out. Thanks about the gym…we love it! ๐

CONGRATS!!! The gym looks AWESOME! I am so happy for you. I totally agree with you on investing in yourself re: gym membership or training. It is worth the investment, completely. And I always think that about kids – they fight a nap, but we’d be like’ sweet!’ conk out. (I also went to bed at like 915 last night and was out like a light! haha)

Thank you! I have never been much a napper, but mostly because I always want to be getting things done. But man if I was a kid again and had no to-dos I would certainly not be fighting naps. Can’t wait for you to come visit the gym. ๐
