Thank you for all of your comments and emails on my post earlier this week. Feeling the love, friends. ๐ If you missed it (it didn’t publish quite right), check out Where Do I Fit In?
You probably know by know that I love to switch up my workouts. Kettlebell workouts, strength workouts, track workouts, flush and foam roll days, etc. all make appearances in my life as you have seen.
However, as far as fashion goes I don’t switch things up all that much. I pick items I’m comfortable in (like these great leopard flats I found!) and when I find something I love I tend to buy 3 of them in different colors. I used to get a bit more creative with my makeup, but now I stick with the basics since it’s hard enough to just get out of the house with a baby.
After looking at the article on BlogHer about switching up your makeup for a fabulous fall I am right on target. I go with the “no makeup” look quite often these days. I’d like to say it’s because I am oh so fashionable and on top of the latest trends, but I have to admit it’s really not by choice, but more by necessity/time constraints. I cover up my dark circles, put on a little Bare Minerals foundation to even out my skin tone, and finish with a bit of powder and mascara. If we’re going to one of our fancy dinners at 3:30 I might even put on some eye shadow or a swipe of blush. ๐
Wednesday night I used a gift card that hubby got me for a pedicure and a shellac manicure. I have never had one before, but hear they last a long time! I was thrilled to have a few hours to myself since I really stink at relaxing unless I have a reason to do it. Only one problem, I had no idea what color to choose! In the spring and summer I get pedicures and usually go with bright pink or something along those lines. But when fall hits and we have a wedding to attend, I always wonder what color(s) to pick! I ended up going with a very neutral pink (almost clear) for my nails and a grayish/purple for my toes since I’m wearing a black and purple dress for the wedding. ๐
What are your go to nail polish colors this fall?
This is part of the BlogHer Life Well Lived campaign and you can get involved too. Not only can you share your tips for autumn colors and makeup, but you can enter to win $250 if you share a moment in your life that helps you realize yours is a Life Well Lived. (My moment is when I see the smile on my son’s face every morning. Even better is when we don’t have to rush out the door and I can snuggle with him and hubby in bed before starting our day!)
