We all know someone who is ‘blessed’ with genes that make them naturally skinny. They claim to be able to eat whatever they want and not gain any weight. Is it all related to their genes or is some of it related to how they mentally feel about food?
One problem many naturally skinny people have is that since they don’t gain weight, they really don’t put much thought or effort into eating nutritious foods containing vitamins and minerals and often don’t feel the need to workout. Sometimes we hear the term ‘skinny fat’…skinny people with high body fat because they don’t eat well or workout. Don’t forget, working out and eating right is about a lot more than just looking good. (That is just one awesome side effect.) 🙂
All that said, there are some interesting tips you can learn from ‘natually skinny’ people who listen to their body without constantly getting their mind and emotions involved. Now doesn’t that sound like a concept?
Food, although we enjoy it (some of us more than others), is really fuel for your body. Do we set expectations that are too high on a regular basis, thinking that every meal has to be perfect, well rounded or full of different tastes and textures?
