…but it ain’t everything.
There are 2 things you need to do if you’re looking to lose weight, become more fit, exercise more efficiently or even just become healthier overall. This is going to sound simple, but in today’s world we tend to make things more complicated than they have to be.
1. LEARN: Knowledge is power. Hire a nutritionist or personal trainer, ask questions, read books, blogs and websites, watch videos. There is so much information out there, but if you look around you’ll find some sources that you trust. Never stop learning. New tools, workouts, recipes and ideas are being introduced all the time. Although the basics remain the same, learning new things can help keep you from getting bored.
2. IMPLEMENT WHAT YOU LEARN: You may be the smartest person in the world and you may read hundreds of blogs, news sites, books, etc. Unfortunately, that won’t get you to your goals automatically. If you don’t apply your knowledge, what good is it anyway?
Someone tweeted yesterday, “Why am I struggling with my weight if I know so much about nutrition?” I am sure many people can relate to that comment. Most of you probably know what is good for you and what is not (at least the basics), but just because you know doesn’t mean you actually apply these things in your own nutrition and fitness regimen.
What can you implement in your own life today that you already know?
