Four years ago…something big happened that changed my life forever!
I married this handsome guy.
Three years ago we moved into our house (yes, on our anniversary).
Two years ago, we went to dinner back at the place where we got married in Meredith, New Hampshire. My husband surprised me and had our cake lady deliver a mini version of our cake to theย restaurantย for dessert. (She was awesome…told us that it’s gross to freeze the top layer of your cake and that she always includes a mini cake on an anniversary in the package.)
One year ago we went to dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants, but I don’t have any pictures. I was very pregnant! A few weeks later (last June 4) we became a family of three.
This year we are both working on our anniversary, but we are training together this morning. We also celebrated our anniversary this past weekend at the same local restaurant we went to last year. We love it there, but it’s not really baby friendly so it’s our go-to when we have a nice dinner out (and a baby sitter).
Oh…and we also saw the Hunger Games. This is probably not going to be a popular comment, but I don’t get the hype. I think a movie about kids killing kids is just creepy. Really creepy.
Happy Anniversary to the best husband and father I could ask for.
I love you so much, Mike.
You are such a gorgeous bride! – and mom ๐ Happy anniversary!
Awwww you’re so sweet…thanks! ๐
Hi Amanda, such a nice post! I happened to stubble across your blog simply through a comment you made on another blog. Super excited to come across it. I have just started my first cycle of IVF, very confronting experience for me. I have done intense training for the last 3 years & I was so worried about having to really cut back on my training as I enjoy so much. It really does go without saying that you do have to cut back & your baby becomes your priority, but its so much part of my lifestyle, it would kill me to have to give up, its sounds so selfish. Reading that you are so into Kettlebells excites me, seeing all your blogs on exercise whilst pregnant excites me even more. My trainer is a lover of Kettlebells, I will learn to love them more…LOL! My comment is really irrelevant to your blog but just happy to have found it. Lots of reading to do here ๐
Jodie – thanks for saying hi and sharing your story!!! I’ll be thinking of you and hoping that your IVF is successful. ๐ It’s not selfish to want to work out…healthy and happy moms raise happy babies. ๐ ๐
Awwww!! LOVE THIS!! Happy four years, girl!
Thank you Jess!
Happy anniversary! We are almost anniversary buddies – we just celebrated 4 years on 5/10!
