I have received a few emails with questions on calorie counting, cardio and weight loss. I will address all questions in the next few posts! Keep ’em coming ladies. It’s officially summer and that means delicious produce, longer days and great weather for working out. ๐
Today though…I had to write about my Dad. Interval Momma has become slightly famous and it only seems fair that Do It All Dad should get his fair share of fame with yesterday being Father’s Day and all.
My dad is amazing. I know you’re thinking “Everyone says that!”… but let me tell you a few things that most people probably can’t say about their dad. I won’t mention his age, but I’m 29 so you can get an idea. ๐
Some things Do It All Dad does now:
- Wakeboards every Saturday and Sunday morning bright and early from May-October. Cold water doesn’t stop this guy! He just purchased an air chair with a friend of ours. If you haven’t seen one check it out on the right. (I kind of think it looks like a torture device.) I’ll have to post a video of the air chair adventures this summer!
- Rides his bike to work several times a week throughout the spring, summer and fall. It’s 10 miles each way!
- Mountain bikes like a mad man with no fear.
- Treats my husband like part of the family…and did so even before he actually was.
Growing up a few things Do It All Dad did for me (and my sister):
- Exercised incredible patience when we were being girls and getting upset over silly things (oh wait..he still does this).
- Built us a great swing set, shelves for our rooms and a Barbie house that was a replica of our house…even painted and wallpapered the walls the same!
- Took us on family vacations…everywhere from New Hampshire to California to Barbados.
- Attended tons of soccer games, piano recitals and school events.
- Taught us how to ride bikes, downhill ski and play kick the can.
- Didn’t yell at me when I crashed his car….twice. (Only once was really bad! :))
- Fixed our cars, changed our brakes, taught us how to change tires and how to cool down an overheated car.
- Gave me an incredible education and the best wedding day I could have asked for.
- …SO MUCH MORE.
Thanks to my awesome Dad for everything he has done, does today and that I know he will continue to do in the future. He really does ‘do it all’. He inspires me every day to stay active, eat healthy and take care of myself so that I can have as much energy and fun as he does when I’m his age. Kudos to Do It All Dad for being such an awesome and supportive Father!
Next weekend is Interval Momma and Do It All Dad’s Anniversary. Love them. ๐
