After writing a post about everything I’m missing during pregnancy last week, I figured I should follow it up with some of my favorite things about pregnancy. I certainly don’t want anyone to feel discouraged since being pregnant is a gift, an incredible journey and such an amazing blessing!
As I enter my third Trimester today (with less than 3 months to go until my due date!), here are a few things that are great about being pregnant:
- Feeling my baby move, kick and punch
- Simply knowing that my body is busy creating another life
- Sharing the experience with my husband and knowing that this little person is part of each of us
- The ability to continue being active during pregnancy (I know not everyone has this luxury…some conditions require you to stop working out…but for most people this is still possible!)
- Learning more about my body and what it’s capable of doing
- Elastic waistbands on all pants
- A simplified wardrobe in general…less choices in the morning!
If you’ve been pregnant before (or are now) what was your favorite thing? If you haven’t been yet, what do you think you will enjoy the most?

Though I definitely cannot say that I loved being pregnant I liked the thought that I was fullfilling a significant task every minute and even on not-so-producitve days I knew that I was involved into something of great importance!

That’s so true Iris! I remind myself of that as well when I feel like I am being “lazy” or don’t have any energy on some days. 🙂
