Milestone #1: I am 20 weeks pregnant!
I’m halfway there (or who knows…probably a bit more or less). But halfway feels pretty good. 🙂
I can’t decide whether it’s going by really fast or slow because it seems to depend on the day, but overall I have to say being pregnant is not nearly as bad as I always imagined it would be. I was never one of those girls/women who looked forward to being pregnant, but I’m finding that it’s exciting and obviously really interesting to see how much your body is capable of doing. I mean…how cool is it that I’m busy creating a life here?
Lately the belly has popped right on out. The scale suddenly started moving…quickly. Sigh. I look and feel a lot more pregnant with each passing day/week. BUT…I feel good. I’ve been eating a ton, but trying to stick with mostly healthy choices. My workouts have been decent. And, most importantly, we are getting more and more excited about the little guys arrival. It’s right around the corner!
Milestone #2: I’m turning 30!
I’m turning the big 3-0 on Sunday. It is going to be a relaxing weekend. I’m getting my first prenatal massage and having some nice dinners with my husband and family. It’s hard to believe 5 years ago I was just meeting my husband around this time and had no intention of getting married or having kids in the near future. In fact, my roommate and I had a big keg party at our house in the city for our 25th Birthdays. Now, I’ve been married for 2.5 years and we have a baby on the way. I honestly couldn’t be happier. I’m so blessed and I thank God every single day for providing me with this amazing life.
And ‘they’ say growing up is no fun!! I think I’m going to love being 30 and I can’t wait see what life has in store for me and my growing family.
