I hope everyone had an awesome holiday! Sometimes it’s so easy to get caught up in the stress and planning that tends to come along with the holiday season and we forget to just be thankful for what we have and especially for the people we have in our lives.
We had a great Christmas this past weekend and I feel so lucky and blessed. My husband and I were given a bit of a scare and wake-up call last week. It really put things into perspective for us and I am feeling particularly thankful this season. In 2011 I want to focus on the things that are truly important and spend much less time worrying about things that don’t matter when it’s all said and done.
Here are a few things I am thankful for (although there are so many more!):
- An amazing husband
- Supportive parents and sister
- Great friends from all different times in my life
- A warm and cozy home
- An adorable niece and nephew
- Our baby who will be born in spring 2011
- A healthy body and the ability to workout
- My faith and my wonderful church – New England Chapel
After a short day of work today I’m on vacation and I’m ready to enjoy the rest of 2010 with family and friends before getting back into the swing of things in 2011. I hope you take some time during this last week of the year to be thankful for your loved ones and the blessings in your lives.
