The last few weeks have been packed full of work and fun! As much as I usually have to say about training and nutrition, sometimes “real life” takes over. These last few weeks have been filled with moments I want to remember forever.
We held the Swings for a Cure event on May 2nd at Skill of Strength where we ended up raising over $1,500 to help support the Leukemia and Lymphoma fund in honor of our client’s father who is fighting Multiple Myloma.
A group of us completed 38 minutes of 12 swings on-the-minute to total just over 450 swings per person. There were two of us preggos swinging away for this great cause…how cool is that?
On Mother’s Day weekend, we went to Lake Winnipesaukee in Meredith, New Hampshire, where we got married and where my parents have a house. We actually RELAXED. No computers and we kept the work talk to a minimum! This may not sound like much, but when you own a business with your husband, removing the ‘shop talk’ is easier said than done!
I also slept in both days while Grampy woke up with CJ, had a nice dinner with Mike and CJ, took a long walk and got a mani/pedi with my mom, went on a date night with Mike, ate a yummy brunch with everyone and got spoiled with nice gifts from my husband for Mother’s Day.
A few short days later, this happened.
One of my very best friends in the whole wide world put an insane amount of effort into a sprinkle for baby Perry and I. She got a whole bunch of girls from the gym together and we all went to one of my favorite restaurants for dinner and celebration.
Not only was there a delicious menu and a gluten/dairy free peanut butter chocolate cake for dessert, (as delicious as it sounds and gave me the energy for a great workout the following morning), but she put together cute little favors and helped organize an incredibly generous group group gift.
I felt like the luckiest gal in the whole entire world that night. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to Meg and my mom and every single one of the strong and beautiful SOS ladies who made this night so memorable. I get to hang out with, support and train the best women (and men too) on a daily basis. This is my job and my life. #solucky
To top off all of the fun and adventures, Mike and I had another weekend away this past weekend to celebrate 7 years of marriage! We went to the Berkshires and enjoyed more sleep, plenty of coffee, walks, beautiful scenery, movies and great food. It was nice to spend some one-on-one time with my husband before life gets crazy again with another little boy joining our family!
Even though we’ve been working a ton between all of this fun, I feel like I need to buckle down over the next few weeks and check a few more things off the list before this baby makes his appearance. I can’t wait to meet this little muffin!
Just a quick post today with a little bit of life lately. I’ve been soaking in all of this fun and time with loved ones since, let’s be honest, this is what really matters in life.
More fitness and pregnancy updates coming your way soon… Pull-ups still matter too, right? 🙂
